Hailing from the Piedmont of the Appalachian Mountains, Cody Landress-Gibson is a singer-songwriter from Chattanooga, TN. Cody has been releasing and writing music since he was 16, in a punk band in North Georgia. Over the years, Cody has fronted and played guitar in multiple bands in the Southeast, but always finds himself drawn back to roots music. Blending elements of Old-Time, Alt-Country, and Americana, Cody writes songs about the reality of living, loving, and getting by in Appalachia.
Cody's newest single, "Coffee Black" is out now!
"Like many artists with punk rock roots and singer-songwriter aspirations, Cody Landress-Gibson cites Texas songwriters Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark as influences. Hints of the former’s visceral worldview and the latter’s storytelling gift flavor Landress-Gibson’s new four-song EP Beginner’s Luck." - Stomp and Stammer
